Winged women in mythology are representative of a power otherwise not present in men, be it goddesses, Valkyries, winged goddesses, and witches who are related to sexuality, death and rebirth, or immortality, across various cultures. A specific reference here is to their shape-shifting quality between human and avian forms. Rithika has encased a female form with layered large feathered wings, with green fauna-like fertility bracketing this form with its leaves.
