Samit Das' practise is a visual manifestation of his engagement with the archive. Created over the last three years, Das’ series assimilates the idea of pre-modernism through contemporary practice with a unique visual language. His multimedia works on board are meticulous in their attention to detail, and their sculptural quality combines a variety of materials (iron, paint, archival images, found objects and wood) to create a stunning culmination of the various threads of his practice.

Samit Das returns to Mumbai after a decade with his solo show 'Bibliography in Progress' which is being exhibited simultaneously at TARQ and Clark House Initiative. Join us, as he walks us through his fascinating practice. The walk-through will begin at TARQ and carry on to Clark House Initiative.
