Layered Narratives: A Collage Workshop with Aastha Choudhary Lodh
Join us at TARQ for an exciting collage workshop with Aastha Choudhary Lodh!
The collage workshop is an intimate, hands on paper cutting experience. Participants are invited to explore the joy of cutting and pasting, inspired by their own visual instincts and inner creative sense. Each participant will receive a curated kit that includes basic shape cutouts, along with essential materials such as glue, scissors, paper, and magazines, under the guidance of a professional artist and the host. Participants are also welcome to bring their own materials that can be used for collage, such as old bills, notes, or pieces of paper with personal memories attached.
We will provide a sturdy paper base in both A3 and A4 sizes, allowing participants to choose the format that best suits their creative process. Each participant will receive one kit per person. In addition to this, if they wish to create more works, they are welcome to use the available papers and magazines during the workshop. Participants may make as many collage pieces as they like within the duration of the session, encouraging experimentation, play, and exploration of different compositions and ideas.
The focus of the workshop is on process over perfection, encouraging participants to engage with layering, composition, and intuitive image making. By the end of the session, each participant will have created their own unique collage artwork.
