Inside Out: Entering and Exiting Realism: In Conversation: Amit Masurkar and Ronny Sen
Join us at TARQ as Amit Masurkar and Ronny Sen come together in conversation across cinema and visual art to consider how realism is negotiated as a way of structuring perception and producing meaning beyond what is immediately visible. Engaging bureaucracy, landscape, and conditions shaped by systems of governance and control, the discussion examines how these realities are composed and made legible within the image, and how they continue to appear coherent even when they are not. Drawing from their own work, alongside a wider field of artistic and cinematic influences, it places these questions in relation to other image-making practices that work through, rather than simply within, the real.
