The Shadow Studies are Daku’s explorations of geometric shadow patterns. By meticulously
arranging ball pins in a uniform and angular manner that provide an illusion of depth and
dimension, the works create intricate compositions when exposed to varying lighting conditions.
The focal point of Shadow Studies lies in the dynamic transformations that occur when light
sources shift or intensity changes, morphing the artwork into new patterns.

As viewers move around the works, the harmonious relationship between light and form
becomes apparent. While delving into the realm of spatial perception, the viewer is challenged
to see beyond the two-dimensional surface and visually immerse themselves into the ephemeral
nature of shadows.
