This work draws Natasha Preenja back to her early years. She remembers her arms covered with sacred threads after worshiping the goddess—the smell of fresh flowers and kumkum, the dampness of hair after a bath, and the quiet rhythm of repeating prayers after her parents. These rituals were always present, carried forward through our mothers for generations. Perhaps this is why they still feel so deeply connected to her.
The moli, the sacred thread, becomes a marker of occasion—each one tied turn by turn, binding faith, memory, and aspirations for the future yet to come.
