"These two series of multiple etching prints express the impressions and imagination of forms inside the human body and along the transformation of nature, water, land territories, different spaces and their formation. Regenerating the values and importance of the past, present, and next generations.
Fertile 1, 2 are the impressions of visuals that I see near my studio every day. I love and enjoy the neighbourhood agriculture fields, and what I like about them is the process- how the seeding is done through the whole year, small plants are rooted, then they grow, they cut and harvest it and the process is repeated continuously. Further, the change of colours, the process of making, the soil-its intake and the growth, the grown crop that are ready to get harvested, these fields remind me of the process of life. How as humans, do we grow? We face things and we understand and react to them differently, we learn to grow in every phase of life and keep with us what we impart to the next generation." - Soghra Khurasani
