With out-of-circulation currency notes of India that have been shredded and embedded back into this work along with platinum dust, Savia has spoken about geological strata by stacking lines with pen and ink as detailing on handmade cottonrag paper. 'Rich Deposits' offers an interesting contrast - with pen and ink being the most accessible and everyday materials and with currency notes representing access to wealth - an aspect of one's social positioning in society. But dust and debris is their eventual destination, regardless of the role they play previously.
