In this work, Sameer looks at the almost comic nature of a petty fight that escalates, placing the viewer almost into the tangle. The composition of the works is almost panoramic, allowing the figures in the painting to have space to move. Locating this mass of people at a familiar intersection outside his studio, Sameer also plays with ideas of pattern, flatness and a certain stillness of the banal objects that surround the chaos. Situated in the city that echoes through the other paintings surrounding the work, "Viral Content" once more looks at the power of the phone, to stop, start or record a tragedy.
