“Forbidden Sea” is the map of the Dead Sea and its surrounding areas. Saju is revisiting an old map with a different perspective. Considering this as the lowest land area on earth and due to the highest salinity, the water is inhospitable to life; contrarian to the established scientific fact that in order for life to exist, water is necessary (a subject of great tension in Project Hail Mary as well!). But here the sea has transformed into a dense forest but it is not an ideal space to enter. This is an allegory. The land is golden because of its holy nature however the area is always tense because of its geopolitical location.
